also how to make powerpt presentations work on the web
for the first site I will want to make sure of some sort of introduction about "how to" use the site, archive things like I have already (but want to add the following - powerpt. about situational leadership, and web quests on figures in the CO field and rhetoric, revise the conflict webquest
To help sort my focus out so I don't feel that I am pushing in all directions at once and can gain some perspective upon a feeling of progress, here is a task list, subject for constant revision:
Study Landmark web sites
Finish reading Killer Web Sites
Get Macromedia download on accessibility
read Ben's web site on assistive technology
study 508 and related materials
visit Kurzweil classes, meet with Anne Fein, Norma W.
write capstone proposal
get letter from Mac
the overwelming sensation about starting out this capstone is the ongoing diversions that occur. I'm am getting things going but keep uncovering such interesting tangents that I have not really dealt with what is coming up for my first deadline (next week). In a way I have already done what I need to do for the first web site model. I mean I have a web site going for my course. Essentially I will be breaking it down and synthesizing it for a review of other faculty. My side project, which is a web site, for other faculty about teaching with technology has consumed most of my energy and to my amazement been very well received and responded to. Oddly enough, that project is the underlieing point of this capstone. I mean beside meeting my needs, meeting the needs of my sponsoring institution. It's getting to the point that I can even tell what my needs are. I mean what did I go into the Marlboro program for in the first place. I think in a way I have already met those but there is still so much to go.
What I need to establish is a timeline and work plan to focus on for my capstone deadlines. I developed a calender of the semester and a list of readings but cannot really do this type of reading while at work. I need to carve this out in other ways.
